Workplace Random Acts of Kindness

Welcome back to another work week! Here at Apex Occupational Health and Wellness, we are excited because February 12th to 18th is Random Acts of Kindness Week. We wanted to give you some suggestions, as an employee or employer, on what Workplace Random Acts of Kindness you can do.

1

The first Workplace Random Act of Kindness is something quick and easy that you can do to spread kindness to your co-workers online. It is always nice to log on to LinkedIn to find that someone appreciates your communication skills or sees how great you are at time management.

2

Try to do this the moment you walk in the door at work and enjoy seeing morning blues turn into smiling faces.

3

Who doesn’t love a free coffee or a sweet (but healthy!) treat?

4

A simple message of encouragement to a coworker can improve their morale tenfold.

5

Who wouldn’t enjoy getting home a couple of hours early? If you are in the position where you can offer something as kind as this to your employees, why not?!

6

This may motivate employees to take their first steps towards a lifestyle change.

7

One ergonomic assessment for an employee with aches and pains could change their life! Now doesn’t that act of kindness just warm your heart?

8

Lunch and Learns are an opportunity to teach employees valuable lessons about health. The great thing is that you can select what topic you would like discussed, and make it specific to the issues that many of your employees may be facing.

9

It would be hard to resist a soothing yoga class or relaxing massage. Your employees will be saying “Namaste” for a long time after this Workplace Act of Kindness!

10

Sometimes employees are too busy to find the time to do this themselves! Help them out by bringing the testing to them. This helps your employees and your organization by being proactive and identifying potential health-risks before they become serious.

Those are our Workplace Acts of Kindness suggestions for Random Acts of Kindness Week! Let us know some of your suggestions, or what Random Acts of Kindness you have given or received.
